Born in Paris, France, Nicolas started his musical studies in the Conservatory of Montrouge. Quickly focusing on transverse flute, he first studied with Anne Noirot-Nerin, and then with Vincent Touzet (who he met again years later in Mexico, teaching flute and chamber music in the Escuela Superior de Música in Mexico City).
While completing his engineering master’s degree, Nicolas took various chamber music courses, and joined the Choeur et Orchestre des Grandes Ecoles (C.O.G.E.), an orchestra gathering musicians from all major universities in Paris. With that symphonic ensemble, he gave concerts at Salle Pleyel in Paris, at La Madeleine, and went on a French tour (Chartres Cathedral, Belfort).
Nicolas moved to Mexico in 2014 and resumed his musical career, graduating from the Centro Universitario de Estudios Musicales (CEM) in Querétaro, where he studied with Yamani Fuentes, Principal flute of the Queretaro Philharmonic Orchestra. While in Mexico, he performed regularly as a recitalist, and was invited to play as a soloist with the Queretaro Philharmonic Orchestra in September 2016.
Nicolas has taken Master Classes with Susan Hoeppner, Elena Duran, Miguel Angel Villanueva, Josue Casillas, Claudio Tarris and Marcelo Alvarez.
He now lives in New York City, performing and taking part in various musical projects.
